Scotty’s Country Kitchen On the Road
Although Scotty’s has always had our home base at Soons Orchards in New Hampton, New York, we have been selling our homemade pies and other goodies out on the road for over twelve years now. You may have even seen Scotty’s pies at your local farmers markets and festivals here in the Hudson Valley. Our big white pie van arrives early in the morning filled with a full display of warm, freshly baked pies, jumbo chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin cookies, apple turnovers, yummy brownies, Irish tea scones and a selection of our delicious loaf cakes and muffins – straight from our ovens to your local town!
Hartsdale NY (Westchester County) – Located at the train station in the Village of Hartsdale on Saturdays from 9 am to 2 pm starting in June and running through the third weekend in November. This small market with fruit, vegetable, bread and pickle vendors has been a favorite of ours since 1997.
Warwick NY (Orange County) – Located in the South Street parking lot in the lovely village of Warwick on Sundays from 9 am to 2 pm starting in mid-May until the week before Thanksgiving. This large market features a wide selection of vendors with lots of other fruits, vegetables, flowers and other goodies and it was the first market we ever attended.
Goshen NY (Orange County) – Located in the village square, in the heart of historic Goshen. Market is on Fridays 10 am to 5 pm from Memorial day through the end of October. Offering a large selection of locally grown fruits and vegetables as well as artisan specialties.
Our Current Festival Locations are:
Great American Weekend, Goshen NY (Orange County) – A celebration of America s birthday held in the historic Village of Goshen on the first weekend of July – Saturday and Sunday. The festival features a large selection of craft vendors, food tents, music and just plain fun for all – and what could be better on the 4th of July than a fresh, homemade Scotty’s Apple Pie. Great!
Applefest, Warwick NY (Orange County) – This wonderful festival celebrates everything apple related on the first Sunday in October in the Village of Warwick, NY. During the fest, the village is filled with 30,000 visitors strolling through a sea of white vendor tents displaying a multitude of crafts, foodstuffs, fruits and vegetables – and, of course, Scotty’s famous Apple Pies (look for our big red banner). A true celebration of autumn’s bounty!
So if you can t get up to the farm, you can visit us and satisfy your Scotty’s cravings at these locations (and drop us a note if you have a market or festival in your area we might be interested in). We’ll see you on the road!
