Since 1987, Scotty’s has been baking pies the old-fashioned way. Orchard fresh fruit, a homemade, flaky crust and sweet apple cider are the key ingredients in our famous apple pies.
Scotty’s country kitchen is located in the heart of the Hudson Valley at our family’s century old apple orchard. The apples in our pies come straight from the trees our family tends year long. For over 20 years, we have been committed to keeping our pies simple, fresh and preservative free. We make our dough from scratch every morning and hand roll the crust for each pie. We add the freshest fruit obtainable — apples, peaches, cherries and blueberries — and bake our pies to perfection. The result is a pie the way it should be, homemade, fresh and delicious!
Once upon a time in a small town in the heart of New York’s Hudson Valley, Scotty’s Country Kitchen was born. Based out of our family’s apple orchard, Soon’s Orchards (est. 1910). Our bakery soon became famous for its classic homemade desserts – starring, of course, our fabulous apple pies!
We created our own flaky pie crust which we still hand-roll for every single pie. We invented our delightful cinnamon-y crumb and our unique apple-cider syrup, made from Soons’ fresh cider. We combined all these delicious ingredients together with our wonderful apples to create our scrumptious apple pies. Twenty nineyears later we are still going strong!
We’ve since branched out from our humble Apple Pie beginnings creating other fruit pies. Blueberry, Cherry and Peach varieties along with seasonal favorites like Pumpkin, Strawberry Rhubarb and Pecan Pies have become customer favorites. We also bake other goodies for the orchard and farmers markets. Irish Tea scones and soda bread (from an authentic recipe garnered during our Irish honeymoon!), chewy cookies, loaf cakes, brownies and our much-loved apple turnovers.
After many years, we still bake the traditional way – from scratch. We use natural ingredients with no additives, preservatives or things you can’t pronounce!
Please Enjoy and Remember… Life’s is Good when you Eat Pie!!
